I have had many nice things done for me ^_^
Some i remember right now are.....
When i was in pre-searing some random helped me through all the quests and taught me how to play the game :-)
Some people in a guild i was in ages ago (still relativly new) gave me a ragos flame staff and a gailgords stone staff for free (back when they were worth a bit)
When i formed a guild, my guildies went round secretly gathering gold to buy me a kunnavang mini pet (i am a fan of minis and a kunni back then was worth way over 100k) xDD I was sooo chuffed :-)
I have also started convos with people in game, and sometimes they give me stuff and other times i give them stuff. I have been given quite a few destroyer cores because i am saving them up for gloves.
last one il mention :-) I made friends with a mission runner, who taught me how to run all the missions in cantha and most of nf and took me on free runs :-)

I've helped a lot of people. Too many to remember. Problem is this though. I realize this early and often. Once you've helped a person enough they tend to be very needy afterwards. I get alot of PM's from people I've helped who no longer want to do things on their own. Helping someone out once in a while is OK but when it becomes a habit and I feel as if my kindness is being taken advantage of I usually cut that person out. 9/10 if I ask for a favor they shy away or make up some lame excuse. I still help people whenever I'm in the mood but I pick and choose more carefully now. I hate being bothered on an hourly basis by someone who's too lazy to do things on their own.

Met another monk in some Cantha mission, and after a couple of missions together, he complimented my monking and asked how he could be a better monk. After sharing some of my experience with him, we came up to the point of weapon sets. He didn't really have anything else than his staff, so I invited him to come farm for an almost complete monk set for him.
He got the greens I farmed, and hopefully learned how to do it himself. And, seeing he was kinda short of money, I gave him a quick 55 tour, including giving him the necessary runes.

I've gotten 2 drok's runs, a desert run, and a Ascalon-Yak's run, all for free at various times. Some people do just want to help.

Omg too true. I have been there many times before. Some people just don't want to help themselves once they think they can get someone else to do it for them. Annoys me so much. Cause I dont mind helping at all but I dont like being taken advantage of.

Well it's not a single thing, but my friend ingame PM's me every night within a few minutes of me logging on asking me "is there something you want to do/work on tonight?" And even will put aside something they are doing to help me with this or that.
I mentioned thinking of dying my new armor white and the next thing I know the trade window opens with 5 white dyes in it. And they said "free"... I didn't take them but thought that was just too sweet...

The nicest thing someone (strangerwise) did for me in-game was when I made my second monk, and saw a spam in LA about a guild team run from LA to desert for 2k. If I remember right their tag was [Hand]. I tagged along out of curiosity.
What followed was a comic act because this guild didn't really remember or know the map routes. Instead of running to Sanctum Cay, they inadvertently took me to Druid's Outlook. I was about to bail because I really needed the desert at the time, but they convinced me to stay and that they would "get me to desert guaranteed." I ended up being ran to Henge of Denravi or Aurora Glade (can't remember which atm without map access) until finally one of the guild people found the correct route, to which we warped back to LA, and then they ran to Sanctum and even did a mission run, and got me to Amnoon Oasis.
Finally in the Crystal Desert, I was willing to pay 2k to EACH of the guild runners because I felt it was warranted. However, as soon as I opened trade with one of them and put up 2k, the rest of them left game.
I got a desert runs with a lot of bonus areas for 2k. Probably could have been free if I never opened trade with one of them, as they all left pretty quickly, since it took about 3x longer than the run should have been.

Some guy I bought from gave me an elite mesmer tome [when tomes were new] then gave me a build to farm several bosses and a lot of enemies all in one area. This is probably the nicest thing someone who is not in my guild has done for me.

I've had many people help me through out the game with different missions. I also remember the Guild leader giving me five lockpicks when we were going to do a run in EOTN. I offered him money or the picks back, he told me not to worry about it. I also have had fellow alliance members just give items to me and other people. I'm glad to say it has rubbed off, I'm someone who can help people when they need it.

Not too long ago (maybe only some weeks) I went to kill Urgoz with the alliance. Near the end I got disconnected but a guildie (who was in that NM Urgoz group) gave me a rare-skin scythe and 2 amber chunks to make me happy

Well my guild members are always nice and have done way too much to post here.
When I was in pre-sear someone took the time and showed me how to play the game.
Another time I was in Yak's with my ranger and trying to get o LA, and teamed up with a necro to get a run. Someone pinged us and said they would do it for free. Then the necro said he would pay if that person could run us to Droks, and the person agreed and said we didn't have to pay though. Well they ran us to LA and Droks, and I gave the person a 1k tip (didn't have much else on my lvl 12 ranger.) The necro, I'm afraid to say, didn't give them anything. But, then the nicest thing happened; the runner gave me a very nice platinum bow. Wow what a difference that bow made, and that person is the nicest I've met in GW.
Really, there are too many other nice things people have done to list them all here.

A couple guildies gave me Galigord's Stone Staff and a Brimstone set for free just because I asked casually if anyone had a decent weapon I could borrow. They have since moved from Guild Wars.
Anytime in my travels I find a max AL shield with 8 or lower req, I save it and give it away in Ascalon.
